Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our representative. 

From Paro, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s vibrant and modern capital. The drive takes approximately two hours, offering stunning vistas of lush valleys and towering mountains along the way.

Once in Thimphu, you’ll check into your hotel to freshen up and relax after your journey. This is the perfect moment to unwind and absorb the peaceful atmosphere of the city. Your first day in Bhutan promises a warm welcome, breathtaking landscapes, and the beginning of a truly memorable experience in the heart of the Himalayas.

Your Bhutanese journey continues today with a perfect blend of cultural discovery in Thimphu and a scenic drive to the beautiful Punakha Valley.

The day begins with a visit to Tashichhodzong, an impressive fortress that houses Bhutan’s main secretariat. Inside, you’ll have the unique opportunity to see the throne room of His Majesty the King. This iconic landmark is not only an architectural masterpiece but also a vital center of Bhutan’s governance.

After exploring Tashichhodzong, enjoy some free time for shopping. Visit the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and nearby private craft shops, where you can find exquisite Bhutanese handicrafts and souvenirs to cherish.

In the afternoon, immerse yourself further in Bhutan’s rich culture with a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum, offering a fascinating glimpse into traditional rural life. Then, continue to the National Textile Museum, where you can admire the intricate art of Bhutanese textile weaving.

Later, embark on a scenic drive over the Dochu-la Pass, perched at 3,088 meters (10,130 feet). On clear days, this pass rewards you with stunning panoramic views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks and surrounding landscapes.

Your day begins in Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan until 1955. This historic town is home to the magnificent Punakha Dzong, a stunning fortress monastery that has been carefully restored to reveal its breathtaking grandeur.

Next, you’ll travel to Wangduephodrang, the last town on the highway before central Bhutan. Perched on a ridge overlooking a river junction, Wangduephodrang is dominated by its impressive dzong. Here, you’ll have time to explore the lively local market, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and perhaps discovering unique souvenirs.

En route, you’ll visit Semtokha Dzong, Bhutan’s oldest dzong built in 1627. Now serving as the Institute for Language and Cultural Studies, it remains a vital center for preserving Bhutanese culture and education.

Finally, you’ll arrive in Paro—a charming town rich in cultural heritage and the gateway to many of Bhutan’s most famous sites. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax, reflecting on the memorable experiences of your Bhutan journey.

The day begins with a visit to Ta Dzong, originally built in the 17th century as a watchtower to protect Rinpung Dzong during inter-valley conflicts. In 1968, it was transformed into Bhutan’s National Museum. Here, you’ll explore fascinating exhibits that offer deep insights into Bhutan’s history, art, and culture.

Next, you’ll embark on a scenic hillside trail leading to Rinpung Dzong, an impressive fortress monastery with a rich heritage. This iconic structure remains a vital religious and administrative center in Paro, embodying Bhutan’s architectural and spiritual traditions.
