Paro is the gateway to Bhutan and offers a picturesque introduction to the country with its stunning landscapes and serene atmosphere.
After completing the arrival formalities, you will be transferred to your hotel in Paro. Take this time to relax and unwind from your journey and get settled into your accommodation. Paro is a charming town located in a beautiful valley and is known for its rich history, culture, and natural beauty. You can explore the town in the evening, maybe take a stroll, and enjoy the local cuisine at one of the restaurants in the area.

Embarking from Sang Choekor in Paro at an altitude of 2,800 meters, the trek unfolds with a scenic four-hour walk, transitioning into a captivating three-hour ascent to the peak, offering breathtaking vistas of the Beautiful Himalayas. Following this invigorating climb, a four-hour trek leads to the lunch spot at the campsite. Post-rejuvenating with a meal, the adventure continues with an ascent of the mountain, culminating at an impressive altitude of 4,000 meters. This carefully curated journey not only promises physical challenges but also rewards trekkers with the awe-inspiring beauty of the Himalayan landscape, creating an unforgettable and immersive experience.

Embarking from the picturesque Bumdra at an altitude of 4,000 meters, this trek unfolds into a captivating journey spanning 6 to 7 hours. The trail leads to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, a remarkable sanctuary perched amidst the Bhutanese mountains. The trek encompasses a scenic 3 to 4-hour walk to reach the monastery, where a nourishing lunch awaits. Descending to an altitude of 3,120 meters, the expedition offers both physical challenges and spiritual rejuvenation, combining natural beauty and cultural significance. This immersive experience promises not only the joy of trekking but also a cultural encounter at the revered Tiger’s Nest Monastery.

Embarking on a cultural exploration of Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, visitors are treated to a rich tapestry of experiences. At Buddha Point, travellers can offer prayers to the country's largest Buddha statue, soaking in panoramic views of the Thimphu valley. The Institute for Zorig Chusum, or the Painting School, unfolds Bhutan's cultural legacy through a 6-year training course in traditional arts. A visit to the Centenary Farmers’ Market offers a vibrant exchange with locals, especially on weekends, as farmers showcase a diverse array of produce. The Takin Preserve adds a touch of wildlife, housing the rare takin, while the National Memorial Chorten stands as a poignant tribute to Bhutan's third king. This cultural odyssey weaves together spirituality, artistry, and community interactions, providing a holistic glimpse into Bhutanese life.

After breakfast, proceed to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,088 m/10,130 ft). If the skies are clear, the views of the Himalayas are spectacular, and Ghasa Dzong can sometimes be seen as a white dot on the horizon. Visit the 108 beautiful chortens built on the hill by Queen Ashi Dorji Wangmo for the safety and well-being of His Majesty the King of Bhutan.
Travel to Punakha, Bhutan's ancient capital and current winter home of the central monastic community. Visit Punakha Dzong, located on an island in the Porthu (Male) and Mochu (Onna) rivers. 108 stupas on Dochula Pass between Punakha and Thimphu
In the evening, he takes a 20-minute stroll through the rice fields to explore the village of Mesina and reach Chimilakan, the Divine Madman Monastery, known for its fertility shrine where one can receive special fertility blessings.

After breakfast, head to Bumthang via the Perera Pass at an altitude of 3,150 meters, which is perfect for photography. On the way, we will stop at Chamy village and visit the Yasra textile factory. These yarns are used to make colourful scarves, bags, blankets, and sweaters. Proceed to Bumthang. Interact with the locals.

A full-day tour of Bumthang, the most beautiful place in Bhutan, also known as the Switzerland of Bhutan. In the morning, we visited Jakar Dzong. The fortress is currently used as the administrative centre of the valley and the summer residence of the monks. Chakar Lhakhang (Iron Castle). This is the palace of the Indian king Sendagyabu, also known as his rajah Sindhu.
Jakar Dzong, Bumthang Kurjey Lhakhang (Kurjey means "body print"). The temple on the right was built by Minjurtenpa in his 1652 year. This temple was built around the cave where Guru Rinpoche meditated and left imprints of his body. Visit Tambi Temple, located on the plateau north of the Chamkar River of Kurje temple. Karma His fourth Shamal Rinpoche, one of the two highest-ranking lamas of the Kagyu sect, came to Bumthang from Tibet in the 15th century to establish a monastery. Jambei Lhakhang was built by King Songtsen Goenpo of Tibet in the 7th century. To spread Buddhism, he planned to build a total of 108 temples in Tibet and neighbouring kingdoms. Complete the above sightseeing before lunch and after lunch head to Ula Valley and return to Chamkar for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, head to Trongsa. Then visit Trongsa Dzong, the seat of the district administration built in 1648. Then, visit Trongsa Tower, which is now a museum. The watchtowers that once protected Trongsa Dzong from internal rebellion are etched into Bhutan's history. After lunch, we will head to Phobjikha.
Optional: Visit Gangtey Goenpa after lunch or in the morning. This monastery has an old monastery dating back to the 16th century and is a major tourist attraction. Afterwards, walk through the valley. The valley is also home to the rare black-tailed crane, which comes to the valley from remote areas of Tibet, China, and Siberia in the winter.

Today, after a good rest, I will head to Paro. We'll do some sightseeing along the way and also stop briefly in Thimphu in case you need any last-minute shopping. Afterwards, explore the city and take a break at the resort.
