Haa Tshechu
Haa Tshechu is a traditional religious festival celebrated in Bhutan, and it is known for its vibrant and colorful festivities. Bhutan is renowned for its Tshechus, which are important religious and cultural events. Each district in Bhutan usually hosts its own Tshechu, and Haa is one of the districts where this festival takes place. During the Haa Tshechu, there are masked dances, cultural performances, and religious rituals performed by both monks and laypeople. These festivals are typically held to honour Guru Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, an eighth-century Buddhist master who played a significant role in bringing Buddhism to Bhutan and the Himalayan region.
