Khangma Tshechu

Khangma Tshechu is a traditional Bhutanese festival celebrated in Bhutan. Like many other Tshechus in the country, Khangma Tshechu is a significant religious and cultural event. Tshechus are celebrated with great enthusiasm and are an integral part of Bhutanese culture and spirituality. During Khangma Tshechu, you can expect to witness various religious rituals, masked dances (known as "cham"), and cultural performances. These events typically take place at monasteries or dzongs (fortress-monastery complexes) and are attended by both the local community and visitors. The dances often depict stories from Bhutanese history, mythology, and Buddhism. As with many Tshechus, the specific dates of Khangma Tshechu may vary from year to year as they are determined by the Bhutanese lunar calendar.
